Who will be the next generations to advance the faith? The Zohar comments on the line in this week’s parsha’s when God speaks to Moses saying “speak no more” and though the rest of the book is in fact Moses’ words, the Zohar emphasizes that this is about taking the teaching and passing them on so others speak the truth – here with the Shekhinah embracing Moses known as the sun he is blessing his disciple Joshua who is the moon and the future will have both be sources of light rather than reflections and we too can be that as the generations shown here with the leaders of the 12 tribes and the 70 Sanhendrin all radiating the cosmic energies out to all levels of our existence with the symbol of the pillar of fire that once led us and now the Sephirot energies illuminating our way.
