VAYECHI

The Zohar speaks to the last days of Jacob.  Having reunited with Joseph it says that he asked this favorite son to put his hands over his eyes as he separated from his dying body.  The text then goes to reveal the metaphysical levels of the eye.  The white is associated with the oceans which are the source of physical existence.  In this drawing the four simultaneous levels of the four worlds we live in are also suggested with the red being our practical world of making and the earth is suggested here too.  The purples are the world of formation, and dreams reside here, the blues are the world of creation and here the soul is evolving and the Zohar also speaks to this area as Jerusalem the goal of a united peaceful world, and the yellow is a connecting world to Hashem, and the pupil is a reflection of all we have seen and in this case for Jacob inside this mirroring blackness is the Shechinah – the female aspect of the Holy One that is often our guardian and our opening to joining with the infinite Creator.
