Hashem through the prophet says that though our enemies hide in the clefts of mountains, even if your nest is as high as the eagles, if you are deceitful, you will be defeated.
There are warnings here of those who would cast lots for the fate of Israel.
Who would steal their grapes.
Who would triumph gloatingly over them with sword.
But they will drink the fire of their own cruelty.
