Pekude (“These are the reckonings of the Tabernacle”)

Exodus 38:21 – 40:38

Here the four sons of the Aaron are purifying themselves in the mikva of the camp.  The camp of all the tribes, each with their assigned place, surrounded the mishkan – the Tabernacle – and the protective guiding pillars of smoke were positioned at the four directions of the camp as well as the center where a pillar hovered over the mishkan from which there was a connection to the infinite here shown as the rush of red rising straight up.
