Who protects us? Abraham, the first advocate of all monotheism was tested by God. And one of his tests was, when he was confronted by Nimrod, who had the skin of the snake from the garden of Eden, and wielded authoritarian deceitful power demanded that Abraham worship idols and even worship fire and ,when Abraham refused, Nimrod had him thrown into a fiery furnace, but a miracle happened to Abraham and he was not burned whereas Nimrod’s servants who came near the fire were consumed by it. May we not have to have a miracle to depend on for our survival, but if we are faced with horrible tests, may God be on our side.
