How to honor the high and the low.  In this parsha which centers on the How to honor the high and the low.  In this parsha which centers on the korbanos – the sacrifices – there is the contemporary challenge of relevance.

In this image appear two stimulating concepts: one is that the wood used to burn the sacrifices does not include that from the grape or olive trees as both of these provide gifts to us for transformation and anointing.  And another concept is that mornings began with a priest specially selected to take ashes from the sacrifices on a silver plate out to where ashes were placed.  This too was an honor, acknowledging another form of transformation.
