Who judges and how is judgement fair? The Zohar comments on this parsha’s mandates regarding the rule of law. It is said that there must be two or three accusers before anyone can be brought to trial, and one of them must be willing to be the punishers ( the one with the rock) and the Zohar also speaks that each gate of a city should have a fair judge at its entrance allowing justice for those who enter their cities and that above each judge, here represented, as the Zohar says, are 24 holy judges. So, when the Torah repeats “justice. Justice” shall you seek, it is on many levels.
