What do we believe? Who do we believe? The Hebrews had experienced the most profound revelation in our history. Then Moses had ascended the mountain saying he would return in 40 days. Now the angels had objected to humans receiving wisdom and Torah saying that they didn’t deserve it and one of them, sometimes called Satan, sought to convince G-d of human failings and to do so he formed an image of Moses in a coffin floating above the Hebrews and as they pointed to him. they believed that Moses was gone, and they believed this, and it led to their seeking an image to worship now that their prophet had not returned. They had missed the accurate timing. Will we?
