Isaiah’s images: a thick darkness, is this the dangers of our time, a piercing Light of Hashem bursting through the darkness, false would-be kings those who despise us now bowing down at our feet, submitting to truth, our children coming from afar on ships bringing them back to us, our heart expanding, abundance arriving from the seas and the deserts, camels filled with riches, our gates open to the enlightenment, our walls built up by strangers, violence will be no more in our borders, our gates are salvation.
