In this song of David’s in II Samuel, we hear of Hashem’s metaphors like the rock, and tower, and shield and horn. David will escape from his pursuers and jump over the wall with his sword and bow and with Hashem breathing smoke and fire and Hashem’s arrows will fly out as David’s enemies will turn their backs on him and be destroyed, and strangers will come to serve him and Hashem will be his light. As this Pesach draws to a close, may we too have Hashem as our guide as we confront our enemies internal and external.
